Minimum 5th Certified training for Plumber (Welder) Assistant (programme aligned to PSC/Q 00 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 1 year of work experience as an unskilled helper in lieu of minimum educational qualification

The tasks a Plumber (Welder) Assistant is expected to perform include: Assisting in pre-welding activities Assisting in the welding of pipes, fittings and valves

Assisting in post-installation activities

Cleaning the work area and disposing of waste

Following safety and health regulations

Working knowledge of different welding equipment and consumables

Knowledge of the basic units of measurement

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedure

Detailed understanding of equipment, workplace safety and health regulations

In-depth knowledge of the safety procedure for electrical and welding activities Knowledge of how to perform basic measurements

Knowledge of Hindi or any regional language

Previous on-the-job training
