Trends and Growth in Capital Goods Manufacturing, Construction, Iron & Steel Sector

The Indian steel industry is growing at a rapid pace to meet the increasing demands worldwide. The?1,000-crore welding equipment market in India is very fragmented and dominated by low priced local manufacturer and has become an important destination for foreign direct investment.

Moreover, the welding and brazing industry in particular has a high demand in national and international markets. The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) is doing a lot of work in this direction by visiting different workshops and training institutes. They further provide training to welders even in remote areas, helping them to improve their skill. With increasing growth in Automotive sector, India is considered as one of the most potent markets for weldingand cutting processes with rising employment opportunities for Brazers and Welders.
