Certified training for Wheat Cultivator (programme aligned to AGR / Q0102 released by Agriculture Skill Council of India)

One year of previous experience in food crops operations

The tasks a Wheat Cultivator is expected to perform include:

Obtaining appropriate equipment and tools for wheat farming

Procuring the seed material

Preparing thenursery for food crop

Cultivating the wheat crop

Harvesting the produce

Marketing and selling the farm produce

Knowledge of tools and equipment used in wheat crop farming

Ability to select and prepare land for sowing wheat

Efficient in selecting the desired seed for wheat cultivation

Knowledge of propagation and transplantation

Familiar in macro and micro nutrient management in soil for food crops

Familiar with integrated insect, pest and disease management for food crops

Proficient in irrigation management for field crops

Familiar with harvest and post harvest management

Skilled in basic farm management

Skilled in curbing weed in food crops

Equipped to assimilate market information

Updated with the latest development in variety of wheat and knowledge of new equipment

Basic arithmetic skills

Extension training and Krishi Vigyan Kendra training
