Certified training for Symmetry Analyser Machine Operator (programme aligned to G&J/Q4707 released by Gem and Jewellery Skill Council India)

A minimum of 6 months of work experience/internship in diamond processing units

The task a Symmetry Analyser Machine Operator is expected to perform include: Generating a diamond?s cut report using the symmetry analyser machine

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

Basic knowledge of polished diamond proportions/symmetry

Basic knowledge of different cuts and shapes in diamonds

Basic knowledge of surface irregularities and polishing defects

Basic knowledge of physical characteristics of a diamond

Basic understanding of the machinery involved and its repair work

Presence of mind to spot irregularities in reports basis the physical diamond

Patient

Ability to work independently

Good Communication skills

Multi-tasking ability

Decision-making skills

Observational skills

It is a desk job

Need not handle a team

Travelling is not required

Part-time work and contractual work is available

Working hours

Most companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8 hours every day. This may vary from company to company
