The task a Laser Sawing Machine Operator is expected to perform include:Cutting the rough diamond along the marking
Dexterity of the hands
Good eyesight
In-depth knowledge of diamond proportions/symmetry, internal diamond structures (graining, etc.)
Working understanding of the machinery involved and its repair work
Ability to work with high noise generating machinery
Understanding of why diamond powder is used for cutting
Ability to adapt to new technology
Ability to take readings from machines (e.g. from pressure sensors on blade sawing machines), interpret them and take appropriate actions without intervention from seniors
Presence of mind when working with blade sawing machines
Ability to understand technical drawings received from planners
Ability to regularly carry out maintenance of tools
Good understanding of proportions/symmetry
