The tasks a Plumber (Maintenance & Servicing) is expected to perform include: Assisting in the servicing and maintaining of plumbing fittings and fixtures

Diagnosing problems or failures in the plumbing systems

Cleaning the work area

Disposing of waste material properly

Knowledge of various relevant materials like PVC pipes, GI, etc. Detailed knowledge of plumbing fixtures and fittings

Knowledge of various leaks and defects

Understanding of basic plumbing terminology

Working knowledge of relevant tools and equipment like power drill, pipe bender, hacksaw, etc.Basic knowledge of the units of measurement

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedures

Knowledge of how to replace pipes and fixtures

In-depth knowledge of how to perform test runs of fittings and fixtures

Previous on-the-job training

Knowledge of Hindi or a regional language

Good communication skills

Team spirit

Decision-making skills

Organizing skills
