The tasks a Salesman, Wholesale Trade is expected to perform include:Selling goods in wholesale establishment to retailers and large scale consumers

Attending to the customers visiting establishments and tending to their requirements

Instructing the shop assistant to bring samples of the required products

Showing them to customers, explaining their use, mechanical complications, merits, durability and other distinguishing features

Arranging demonstration of goods if necessary

Quoting prices, explaining the terms of the sale and negotiating credit facilities

Booking orders and supplying the goods as decided

Arranging for the delivery of goods to the customers within the stipulated time

Studying market trends and informing the consumer regarding prices and availability of the similar products

Assisting wholesale dealer with running of the wholesale establishment

Taking orders on phone and delivering them to the customers

Preparing bills and collecting payments on behalf of the wholesale dealer
