Minimum 5th Certified training for Plumber (Maintenance & Servicing) Assistant (programme aligned to PSC/Q 009 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 2 years of work experience as a semi-skilled helper in lieu of minimum educational qualification

The tasks a Plumber (Maintenance & Servicing) Assistant is expected to perform include: Assisting in the maintenance and servicing of sanitary fixtures

Assisting in replacing and repairing sanitary fixtures and fittings

Assisting in diagnosing the problem in the plumbing system

Following safety and health regulations

Knowledge of basic sanitary fittings and fixtures

Basic knowledge of procedural techniques like bending, cutting, etc. Basic knowledge of various tools and equipment

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedures

Understanding of the basic units of measurement Basic knowledge of maintaining plumbing systems

Basic knowledge of repairing plumbing systems

Previous on-the-job training

Knowledge of Hindi or a regional language

Good communication skills

Team spirit

Decision-making skills

Organization skills Result-oriented

It is a field job No need to handle a team

Local travelling is a major part of the job

Working hours
