The tasks a Stone Polisher, Hand is expected to perform include:
Polishing and finishing surface of stone
Rubbing surface evenly with block of stone or other abrasives
Placing stone in working position on floor or working bench
Sprinkling water and Chambal sand on surface of stone
Rubbing surface with different kinds and grades of powder pumice or other abrasives
Pouring water frequently on surface thoroughly with water to remove abrasives
Rubbing surface of stone with polishing powder and cloth pad to obtain lustrous finish
Competent in grinding stone properly
Knowledge of sand paper and other abrasives
Efficient in using hand tools or hand-held power tools
Knowledge of fixing defects Competent in preparing surfaces for better finishing
Ability to use portable polishing machine
Good hand-eye co-ordination
Ability to follow instructions
Attention to detail
Time management skills
Team player
Physically fit
It is not a desk job
May need to handle a team
Local travelling is a part of this job role
