The tasks a Broiler Farm Worker is expected to perform include: Providing livestock with feed and water Cleaning feeders, water containers and equipment

Preparing broiler shed for placement of chicks Maintaining feeding and breeding reports

Assisting with maintaining the health and welfare of livestock Performing minor repairs on fixtures, buildings and fences

Knowledge of practical farm operations

Knowledge offeeding and caringe for poultry

Knowledge of the types and uses of poultry supplies and equipment

Ability to operate basic farm tools and equipment

Ability toconduct simple repairs to farm equipment and buildings

Knowledge of brooding management

Knowledge of health management of chicks

Basic reading and writing skills
