Minimum 0-2 years of work experience/internship in related area

The tasks an Associate Medical Transcription is expected to perform include:Maintaining documents of medical records dictated and authored by medical professionals

Transcribing voice recordings into word processed text

Identifying and applying the correct diagnostic/procedural codes to medical records

Obtaining required information about patients Diagnosing the needs of patients for specific appointments

Scheduling appointments for patients on behalf of healthcare providers

Knowledge of common issues with voice recordings and how to resolvethem

Knowledge of methods and techniques for identifying words and phrases in voice recordings

Awarenesswith current practice and guidance in relation to transcribing medical information

Skilled in solving patient queries and scheduling appointments for them

Knowledge of techniques/applications used for reviewing information in medical records

Proficiencyin diagnostic and procedural coding systems like CPT, HCPCS, ICD, etc.

Familiaritywith the process of matching identified diagnoses and procedures in medical records to diagnostic and procedural codes

Courses in medical transcription

Hardworking and persistent
