Minimum 1 year of work experience at a construction site

The tasks a Work Supervisor(Construction) is expected to perform include:

Supervising construction and repair of buildings, hutments, and other structures

Providing for the required resources for construction e.g. bricks, cement, sand, mosaic chips, etc.

Instructing the Masons and other workers regarding the composition of mortar, size and specifications of the structure to be constructed according to the instructions received from the Building Overseer

Calculating the wages earned by the workers at the end of each day

Maintaining material, attendance and other records

Arranging for Masons, Carpenters, Labourers and other workers

Getting any defects (if any) removed and reconstructing according to the plan given by the Building Overseer.

Knowledge of composition of constructional material sand, cement, bricks, etc.

Ability to read and analyze the structural design plans

Basic knowledge of procedural techniques like bending, cutting, cement mixing, etc.

Basic knowledge of various tools and equipment used at the construction site

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedures

Basic understanding of the units of measurement

Knowledge of pre-installation preparation procedures

Working hours

Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary fromcompany to company

For freshers - INR 12,000 to INR 15,000 per month

For candidates with over 2 yearsof experience INR 18000 to INR 20,000 per month
