Animation Boom in Entertainment

According to a recent report by Nasscom, the Indian animation industry, with a market size valued at $300 million, has come a long way in the last couple of years. The report further add on that India should easily cross $869 by 2010, pushing the compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) to over 25% between 2006 and 2010.

Currently the market is mainly driven by outsourced work, with about 60-70% of the revenues come from the West. However, that would not be the case for long say experts; the domestic market might soon take a bigger share in the growth.

The rising demand for animation personnel and related artists presents tremendous employment opportunities for many creative minds. It is further advantageous for their progress to the title of Art Director or Creative Director in the industry.
