Certified training for Market Research Associate (programme aligned to SSC/ Q 4102released by IT-ITe
S SSC NASSCOM)
0-2 years of work experience/internship in market research/ data analyst roles
The tasks a Market Research Associate is expected to perform include:Undertaking detailed market research to create product backlog or product funnel
Collecting data and undertaking exhaustive analysis including competitive analysis
Providing inputs to teams involved in designing, manufacturing or management of product lifecycle
Knowledge of different processes involved in collecting effective data/information
Proficiency in carrying out rule-based analysis on data/information
Well-versed with different methods used to interpret the market/industry trends
Proficiency in presenting research and analysis data in a structured way
Well-versed with how to check and make corrections to documents for common editorial problems and errors like deviations, factual accuracies, etc.
Proficiency with document preparation tools including Word, Visio, Power
Point, Excel, etc.
Adept with current practice in conducting market research and analysis
Training programs in research techniques, tools such as SPSS, Excel
Attention to detail
Good communication skills

Growth in Engineering Services & R&D Segment of IT Sector in India
Engineering Services and R&D segment is worth over USD 7.3 billion in exports and has witnessed a growth of 25% since 2004. This segment is expected to touch USD 50 billion in revenues by 2020. Over 200 product-based multinational companies are known to be sourcing part of their product development requirements from their captive offshore centres in India or from third party vendors in the country. Range of services outsourced includes engineering and designing solutions across diverse industry verticals like telecommunications (30% of revenues), automotive (19%), aerospace (8%), construction, utilities and industrial design and research and development divisions of the leading high-tech companies.
In the IT Exports segment, a large portion of the workforce is currently engineers and MCAs over 80%.
