The tasks a Market Research Analyst is expected to perform include: Researching market conditions in local, regional or national areas to determine potential sales Gathering market information on competitors, prices, sales and methods of marketing and distribution
Using survey results to create a marketing campaign based on regional preferences and buying habits
Collecting and analysing data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand
Conducting research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals
Developing and implementing procedures for identifying advertising needs
Forecasting and tracking marketing and sales trends, analysing collected data
Measuring and assessing customer and employee satisfaction, effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programmes and strategies
Monitoring industry statistics and following trends in trade literature
Prepares reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text
Knowledge of media and entertainment industry, market trends, competitors, etc. Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
In-depth knowledge of devising and evaluating methods and procedures for collecting data or/and arranging to obtain existing data
Thorough knowledge of data collection, analysis and presentation using computer tools/software
Knowledge on latest market trends of the industry and sub sectors
Knowledge on forecasting future market trends basis data collection
