The tasks an Administrator, Hospital is expected to perform include:
Directing administration of hospital, nursing home or other health care facility
Administering fiscal operations such as budget planning, accounting and establishing rates for health care services
Directing hiring and training of personnel
Negotiating for improvement of and additions to buildings and equipment
Directing and co-ordinating activities of medical, nursing and administrative staff and services
Developing policies and procedures for various establishment activities
Representing establishment at community meetings and promoting programmes through various news media, if required
Developing or expanding programmes or services for scientific research, preventive medicine, medical and vocational rehabilitation and community health and welfare promotion
Basic knowledge of administration policies of hospitals and work rules
Familiar with business and management principles
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, etc.
In-depth knowledge of economics, accounting principles and practices, financial markets and banking policies
Efficient in analysing and reporting financial data
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, etc.
Basic knowledge of techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries/diseases
Master?s in Hospital Management
