Previous relevant work experience

The tasks a Commercial Artist is expected to perform include:

Preparing designs for advertising articles

Drawing illustrations for books, magazines, posters, charts, hoardings, etc.

Studying specifications

Discussing details and cost with client

Determining subject matter in consultation

Executing approved design in required medium

Knowledge of changing trends in graphic design technology

Proficiency in attending meetings with clients or supervisors to understand project's goals and objectives, target market, budget and schedule

Ability to analyze project and develop initial concept ideas and sketches

Familiar with use a variety of materials to design product, including computer programs
