Minimum - Degree in Mining Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Metallurgy

Minimum experience of 15 years

The tasks a Director, Quarry is expected to perform include:Planning, directing, coordinating within powers delegated, activities of public or private organization engaged in extracting stone, slate, clay and sand from earth

Proficient in holding charge of Division as a whole and for the planning, direction and management of the research work of all the three establishments

Adept in investigations on bench and pilot plant scales on mineral beneficiation, mineral agglomeration, hydrometallurgy, chemical and instrumental analysis and mineralogical examination of minerals, ores and ore dressing products

Knowledge of undertaking technical consultancy assignment for the preparation of detailed feasibility reports of ore dressing projects, investigation of difficulties experienced in commercial ore dressing plants and suggesting remedial measures etc.

Knowledge of computer with special emphasis on commonly used software in office

Given the estimated increase in the mining output as well as the expected changes in the productivity levels, the total employment in the mining industry is estimated to increase to 11 lakhs by the year 2017 and 12 lakhs by the year 2025.
