The tasks an Agronomy and Forestry Technician is expected to perform include:Performing technical tasks connected with research in agronomy and forestry

Developing agricultural and forestry applications

Analysing forests and agricultural lands for disease, growth conditions, and insect infestations

Tracking wildlife movement

Interpreting aerial photographs to determine types of timber and habitat

Prescribing correct fire-management activities

Cleaning and repairing existing trails or constructing new trails

Gathering data on disease and insect damage to trees as well as water and soil quality

Assisting with animal breeding and nutrition

Conducting tests and experiments to improve yield and quality of crops

Ensuring necessary steps to increase the resistance of plants and animals to disease

Carrying on research and development of production technology, quality control, packaging, etc.

Proficient in analysing agricultural lands and forests for disease, growth conditions and insect infestations

Efficient in conducting tests and experiments to improve yield and quality of crops

Knowledge of how to increase the resistance of plants and animals to disease or infections

Knowledge of how to track wildlife movement

Knowledge of both, rural and urban forestry

Knowledge of information pertaining to fire, safety and sanitation regulations

Skilled in gathering and interpreting data on disease and insect damage to trees, crops, water and soil

Knowledge of the latest developments in agronomy and forestry practices

Master's or Ph

D in Agriculture or Forestry

For freshers ? INR 55,000 to INR 75,000 per month For candidates with experience of 1 to 6 years ? INR 1,25,000 to INR 2,00,000 per month (These figures are indicative and subject to change)
