Minimum ITI graduate degree

Minimum experience of 2 years in relevant field

The tasks a Saw Grinder, Machine is expected to perform include:

Setting and operating saw grinding machine for sharpening band or circular saw teeth with rotary grinding wheel

Inspecting the damaged saws

Cutting the broken teeth from band saws by shearing out damaged section of blade

Joining the ends of band saws by bevelling ends and welding or brazing them together

Brazing or welding the cracks in saw blades and removing the dents

Undertaking twisting, kinking, etc. by hammering

Setting the teeth of saw at correct cutting angle using hammer and swage

Removing the sharpened blade and finishing it with hand tools

Trimming the circumference from damaged circular saws and newly cut teeth

Skilled in operating saw grinding machine for sharpening band

Ability to inspect the damaged saws

Proficiency in cutting the broken teeth from band saws

Skilled in shearing out damaged section of blade

Ability to weld the cracks in saw blades and removing the dents

Skilled in making use of hand tools to remove the sharpened blade
