The tasks a Sock Knitter, Automatic Machine is expected to perform include:
Operating the knitting machine for the knitting of all parts of the sock such as the rib top or elastic top, leg, heel, foot and toe in a continuous tube
Adjusting the machine according to the size of the sock to be knitted
Placing the filled cones of yarn on the stand of the machine
Threading the ends of yarn through the guides and feeders
Turning the cylinder by the handle so that all the ends are caught by the latches of needles set in the cylinder
Replacing empty cones with full ones and joining the ends
Replacing defective or broken needles and sinkers
Oiling and cleaning the machine
Skilled in operating the knitting machine
Knowledge of making patterns on the socks
Knowledge of basic repairing of the machine
Ability to remove defects in the final output
Skilled in servicing the machine regularly
