Fashion Model

The tasks a Model, Fashion is expected to perform include:

Modelling garments and accessories, such as jewellery, footwear, cosmetics, handbags, etc.

Displaying the products to respective designers and customers

Dressing up in the sample and completed garment, matching jewellery, etc.

Standing, turning and walking to demonstrate features such as quality, style and design to observers at fashion shows, private showings and retail establishments

Knowledge of latest fashion

Proficiency in maintaining their look and physical characteristics

Well-versed with pairing clothes with accessories, bags, etc.

Ability to do catwalk show where one has to move along the catwalk, walking and turning to display clothes in front of an audience

Knowledge of applying makeup and doing different hairstyles

Ability to participate in entertainment shows

Knowledge of informing prospective purchasers as to model, number and price of product, and where they can be purchased

Knowledge of selecting own accessories

Camera-friendly attitude



Pleasing personality


Good communication skills

Physically fit

Ability to express

It needs one to be on their toes

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours
Working hours are flexible for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from assignment to assignment

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible

For freshers - INR 6,000 to INR 10,000 per show
