The tasks a Searcher is expected to perform include:

Searching the persons or passengers at airports

Looking out carefully for all the bundles coming from or leaving to foreign countries

Ensuring that there is prevention of smuggling of all contraband, prohibited and restricted articles

Interrogating the passengers about the possession of any restricted goods

Searching the persons in doubtful cases

Undertaking the search of personal luggage in possession

Recording the details of searches in register

Preparing other clerical duties, when required

Skilled in carefully searching the passengers at airports

Ability to carefully inspect all the bundles that are coming from or leaving to foreign countries

Knowledge of all contraband, prohibited and restricted articles

Proficient in carefully interrogating the passengers

Ability to properly search the persons in doubtful cases

Skilled in carrying out the search of the personal luggage in possession

Proficient in carefully recording the details of searches in register
