The tasks a House Agent is expected to perform include:
Assisting house owners and tenants in renting out and securing accommodation on commission basis
Contacting house owners of vacant houses, flats, shops, etc. and also contacting prospective tenants
Obtaining details regarding the accommodations available, rent, etc. and informing the clients about the same
Publicizing accommodation available for lease or rent
Taking the clients to the site and showing them the available accommodation.
Negotiating between the house owners and prospective tenant, and helping them arrive at an agreeable price
Collecting rent and managing property on behalf of clients, if so agreed
Detailed knowledge of the real estate and housing sector
Working knowledge of the documentation involved
Efficiency in analyzing and scrutinizing prevailing pricing in the housing sector
Basic knowledge of the factors affecting the price fluctuation
Ability to advise clients as per their budget and requirement
Well-versed with selling and marketing techniques
Proficiency in effective networking

House agents usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours every day. This may vary fromcompany to company
