The tasks a Television Chassis Inspector is expected to perform include:
Inspecting television receivers during final assembly for defective reception, loose components and incorrect wiring
Connecting the set to electrical outlet and turning receiver controls
Examining reflection of televised picture in micro for specified horizontal and vertical hold tolerance, picture quality, contrast andbrightness
Taping chassis and tubes with cork hammer andobservingpicture to note flutter that indicates defective components
Examining wiring, soldered joints and splices and shaking components to locate defective connections
Tracing wiring to verify connections between specified components
Ensuring that wires of specified colour codes follow wiring diagram
Marking the type of defectwhich may requirefurther testing adjustment or repair, on face of picture tube
Soldering defective connections and replacing defective components
Competent in using and operating the tools and equipmentneeded to repair electronic equipment
Well-versed in basic electrical and electronic theory
Proficient in troubleshooting procedures
Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures
Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers
Will be updated
