The tasks an Electronic, Technician is expected to perform include:

Testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying developmental and production electronic equipment

Drawing sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units

Assembling experimental circuitry (bread board) or complete prototype model

Recommending changes in circuitry or installation specifications

Setting up standard test apparatus or contriving test equipment and circuit

Conducting functional, operational, environmental and life tests

Evaluating performance and reliability of prototype or production model

Analyzing and interpreting test data

Adjusting, calibrating, aligning and modifying circuit and components

Recording effects on unit performance

Writing technical reports and developing charts, graphs and schematics

Operating bench lathes, drills and other machine tools

Fabricating non-procurable items, such as coils, terminal boards and chassis

Checking out newly installed equipment in airplanes, ships and structure to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions

Knowledge of electronic theory, principles of electrical circuits, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics and related subjects

Competent in installing electronic equipment using various power tools and machinery

Well-versed with drill presses, pipe threaders, grinders, hoists, measuring devices, and testing equipment, etc.

Equipped to inspect and maintain existing equipment using similar tools, such as voltmeters

Competent in analysis and troubleshooting of complex problems

Proficient in replacing existing equipment based on age, operation, and functionality

Ability to follow engineering instructions technical manuals

Knowledge of electronic systems,components and their functions

Well-versed in using hand tools and soldering irons

Equipped to describe and illustrate systems operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications

Will be updated

Working hours

Electronic companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
