Certified training for IP Executive (programme aligned to SSC/ Q 6201 released by IT-ITe
0-2 years of work experience/internship in a related area
The tasks an IP Executive is expected to perform include: Drafting and maintaining licensing and commercial agreements
Ensure protection of the company's intellectual property/patent
Knowledge of the purpose and features of software products being researched
Knowledge of typical features of software products that may be subject to patents
Well versed on the different databases available for searching existing patents and the procedureto access and use them
Proficient in sources of expertise and resources available to provide information, advice and guidance on patent research
Certifications/courses/training in IP management, patent research and filing etc.
Understand company requirements
Excellent communication skills
Willing to undertake a desk-job with long hours

Software products form the fastest growing segment of the global IT industry, with the software spends forecast to grow from USD 294 billion in FY 2008 to USD 537 billion in 2015. Over the same period, the addressable market for Indian software product businesses is estimated to reach USD 290 to 315 billion. The next decade will play a crucial role in bringing about disruptive growth for the Indian Software Products segment, and the annual revenue aggregate of this segment is forecast to grow from USD 1.4 billion in FY2008 to USD 9.5 to 12 billion by FY2015. Over the past 3 years, the annual revenue aggregate of Indian software product businesses has grown at a CAGR of 44%.
