Certified training for Analyst-Research (programme aligned to SSC/ Q2601 released by IT ITe

S SSC NASSCOM)

Minimum 0-2 years of work experience/internship in research or related areas

The tasks an Analyst-Research is expected to perform include:

Preparing various reports like company profile, financial analysis/valuation, market demand, etc.

Establishing the purpose, objectives, scope, formats and target audience for the research

Identifying primary and secondary data sources

Contacting the primary respondents through relevant media

Collecting the secondary data from reliable sources

Consolidating the responses into standard templates

Validating data accuracy and identifying anomalies

Conducting analysis of the data and drawing justifiable inferences

Presenting and submitting the research findings to the superiors

Publishing documents in agreed formats

Updating the organization?s knowledge base with the documents

Skilled in defining the purpose and scope of work

Exposure to qualitative and quantitative research techniques and methodologies

Awareness of various sources of information and reference materials available

Knowledge of tools like Word, Visio, Power

Point, Excel, etc.

Skilled in obtaining primary and secondary data

Basic knowledge of the different types of media and how to use them to collect data

Proficiency in analysing and drawing inferences from data

Knowledge of the templates and formats used for data presentation

Knowledge of the common errors in data collection and interpretation

Knowledge of how to present primary research in a structured way

Good verbal and written communication skills

Basic understanding of financial concepts and statements

Training in research techniques

Knowledge of tools such as SPSS, Excel, etc.

Hardworking and persistent
