The tasks of an Elected Official, State Government is expected to perform include:

Serving in various capacities in legislative and executive branches of State Government

Performing administrative, executive and advisory functions, which include leading the council of ministers of State Government

Shaping, determining and defining the government policies

Directing application and execution of government policies through departmental heads

Presiding over deliberations of Houses of State Legislatures

Taking part in making, amending and repealing laws

Needs to be a citizen of India

Should not be less than 30 years of age

Knowledge of constitution of India

Well-versed in working under different designation like chief minister, minister of state government, etc.

Prior experience in politics

Ability to shape, determine and define government policies

Will be updated

Good communication skills

Calm and composed

Result oriented

Highly motivated and self-driven

Patient

Decision-making skills

Problem-solving attitude
