Conducted by IIT Mumbai for the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Common Entrance Examination for Design is a national level examination for entrance to various post graduate technological design programs offered at the IITs and IISc Bangalore. Applicants are tested on logical reasoning, communication skills as well as creativity, drawing ability and visual perception. There is no limit on age or number of attempts for this test, however applicants clearing the exam successfully have to appear for the Design Aptitude Test, after which admitting institutes may have further tests/interviews for final selection of candidates.
