Drafters, Engineering Technicians, and Mapping Technicians

Drafters, Engineering Technicians, and Mapping Technicians include workers who provide critical support services to scientists, surveyors, engineers and other such professionals. They use principles of engineering and science to provide assistance in the production and development of computers, infrastructure, and pharmaceuticals among other products. Depending on their specific field of work, these technicians may be required to prepare detailed drawings and diagrams, operate and maintain equipment, machinery and components, calibrate measurement devices and perform surveying and mapping duties etc. Historically, the vast majority of workers in this pathway are men.
