The tasks a Letter Box, Peon is expected to perform include:
Collecting letters from letter boxes installed within allocated areas at scheduled hours and delivering them to the post office
Following a planned route to clear letter boxes at fixed hours
Removing plates indicating the hour of clearance and replacing it with new plates indicating the next clearance hour
Locking letter boxes and ensuring proper fixation of hour plate and locks
Clearing all letter boxes and delivering bags containing mail to the post office
Sorting incoming and outgoing mails at the post office
Stamping letters and covers, seal bags and load or unload them from mail vans
Knowledge of letter collection and delivery
Knowledge of schedule and routes for letter collection
Knowledge of the process andprocedure for letter collection and delivery
Knowledge of sorting incoming and outgoing mail at the post office Knowledge of stamping letters and covers, seal bags and loading or unloading them in mail van
