The tasks a Porter, Baggage (Hotel & Restaurant)is expected to perform include:
Delivering the luggage to and from hotel rooms
Setting up sample rooms for sales personnel
Performing the related services as requested by guest
Transferring trunks, packages and other baggage to room or the loading area by making use of hand pulled trolley
Arranging for outgoing freight, express or mail shipments, computes charges and tags article
Recording information, such as addressee, addressor, carrier and charges on the specified forms
Setting up display tables, racks or shelves
Assisting the sales personnel in unpacking and arranging merchandise display
Supplying the guests with travel information, such as transportation rates, routes and schedules
Ability to deliver luggage to and from hotel rooms
Skilled in performing all the services requested by the guests
Skilled in recording all the required information, such as addressee, addressor, carrier and charges on the specified forms
Skilled at assisting the sales personnel with merchandise display
