The tasks a Cook, Ship is expected to perform include:

Planning menu taking account of foods in season and local availability

Cooking food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served

Cleaning, cutting and cooking meat, fish and poultry and bakes breads and pastry

Washing dishes and cleaning galley and galley equipment

Ordering supplies and maintaining record and accounts

Supervising activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving, meals

Skilled in preparing various delicacies

Ability to plan and supervise staff

Well-versed in preparing vegetables for further cooking

Proficient in supervising dish washing staff

Conversant with various cooking methods like boiling, baking, roasting and steaming

Ability to maintain Food Hygiene Regulations

Knowledge of seasoning and recipes

Proficiency in managingcordialrelationshipwithguests

Tourism and hospitality industry usually works for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
