Telephone and Telegraph Line Inspection

Preferably Diploma/B.Sc/BE/B-Tech/ME/M-Tech/M.Sc Electrical/Electronic or Communication

Preferably prior experience with telephone and telegraph line installation and maintenance

The tasks a Line Inspector, Telegraph and Telephone is expected to perform include:

Supervising the execution of new installations and maintenance of existing telephone and telegraph lines

Estimating expenditure and equipment required for executing new installations

Supervising work of installation of telephone and telegraph lines at site

Checking faulty lines to locate and remove defects and conducting maintenance check of lines to ensure efficient performance of communication system

Supervising utilization of staff engaged in installation and maintenance work

Thorough knowledge of installing and maintaining existing telephone and telegraph lines Expertise in removing defects from faulty lines and conducting maintenance check of lines In-depth knowledge of the process and procedure in laying out new lines
