Minimum Bachelor of Law (LLB)

Minimum 2 years of experience at any state bar council

The tasks a Police Prosecutor is expected to perform include:

Representing and conducting cases on behalf of Police Department in Magisterial Courts

Studying and examining the charges prepared by investigating police officer

Preparing briefs along with introducing more evidences, if any, are obtained after charges are formulated by police

Examining the probable witnesses

Attending the Court and conducting prosecution on behalf of the police

Guiding the testimony of prosecution witnesses

Introducing the exhibits in support of case

Conducting preliminary arguments for framing of charges

Conducting the cross-examination of the defence witnesses

Arguing the prosecution case

Following all the discharged executive duties that help in maintaining law and order

Skilled in representing cases in Magisterial Courts on the behalf of Police Department

Proficient in carefully examining all the charges prepared by the investigating Police Officer

Skilled in producing all the evidences

Skilled in drawing up legal documents

Proficient in advising the police on legal transactions/matters

Ability to properly examine the probable witnesses

Proficient in conducting prosecution on behalf of the police

Skilled at gathering exhibits in support of the case`
