The tasks a Mahout is expected to perform include:

Riding and leading elephant to transport men and material from one place to another

Cleaning and grooming elephants

Knowledge of training elephant for ceremonial occasions, processions and for specific work, e.g. log felling, lifting, stacking, etc.

Proficient in grooming and feeding elephant

Will be updated

Work independently

Willing to perform laborious tasks

Hardworking

Patient

Good at handling animals

It is a field job

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available

Work from home option is not available
