Supervisors of Food Preparation and Serving Workers include first level supervisors, chefs and head cooks of establishments. Supervisors include Restaurant Managers, Cafeteria Managers, Food Service Managers, Kitchen Managers etc and are directly involved in managing the activities of food preparation and service workers. They may also be responsible for handling cash, prepare deposits and payrolls, and resolve food service related complaints of customers. Chefs and head cooks direct the preparation of dishes in an establishment, develop recipes, plan menu and prices, order and maintain supplies etc.
