Postsecondary Teachers

Postsecondary teachers instruct students on academic, technical or vocational subjects to students beyond the high school level, who are either working towards a degree or doing a certification course. Post secondary teachers include college and university professor, graduate teaching assistants and technical education instructors. Apart from teaching, these professionals are also required to conduct research in their subject and publish papers and articles, and follow new developments in the field. They may also consult with business houses, non-profit organizations and government bodies in their area of expertise.
Teachers and instructors may work part time, only involved in teaching, or full time, handling various administrative responsibilities of the department/institute in addition to teaching courses.
