Extraction Workers

Extraction workers are those who are involved in the extraction of resources from the ground or the sea. They set up or operate a variety of drills such as churn, rotary, pneumatic etc to tap subsurface salt and water deposits, machineries for installation of roof support bolts in underground mine and at surface mining sites to load and excavate loose materials, explosives to remove, loosen or displace rock earth or other material or to demolish structures, self-propelled mining machines to rip metal and nonmetal ores, coal, stone, rock, or sand from the mine face,and underground moving or loading machine to move or load core, rock, or ore. They may also perform specialized storage, handling and accounting procedures.
