Cooks and Food Preparation Workers

This pathway includes cooks and food preparation workers, working in various establishments like restaurants, schools, hospitals and cafeterias, stores or private households etc. Cooks prepare and season a wide variety of dishes, while food preparation workers provide assistance to cooks by performing tasks like peeling and chopping vegetables, cleaning and cutting meats, cleaning work areas, utensils and equipments etc. Cooks may be of different types depending on their place of work.
This pathway requires workers to be efficient and work well in a team. A high level of manual dexterity is also a necessity.
