JAM

The Joint Admission Test for M.sc is a national level exam carried out by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and IITs for admission to various Post Graduate courses in Science. These include M. Sc, Ph.D, Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc- M.Tech, Integrated Ph.D and M.Sc-Ph.D dual degrees etc. Each institute offers its own courses along with eligibility criteria. Apart from these, there are some institutes which also use JAM scores. JAM is taken as a 3 hr Computer Based Test for seven subjects with each paper divided into three sections.
JAM is also intended to regularize all undergraduate level science programs in the country in the future.
