Veterinary medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in animals. Studying this subject requires a strong academic record in biology and chemistry. Related work experience is also an additional asset.
Veterinary science programs differ widely from country to country. In some cases it may be allowed at the undergraduate level, while in others, it is offered as a postgraduate program with mandatory undergraduate studies in animal science or biology.
