Law degrees have always been highly sought after and well respected, and consequently extremely difficuly to gain entry to. It is no surpise that most of the top universities of the world have a highly rated law program with world reknowned alumni.
Again, law degree differ widely from country to country. Most countries offer the Bachelor of Laws(LLB) degree after which individuals can appear for the appropriate qualifying examinations required for practicing law. Some offer a BSc or BA in Law (LB) instead. Some countries offer a Juris Doctor (JD) degree after a mandatory graduation in any discipline. This degree is three years long and students can opt for a further on year long Master of Laws(LLM) degree subsequently. Doctoral programs such as Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD), Doctor of Laws and Phd in Law are also available, depending on the country.
