The Classics and Ancient History encompasses the study of the Greco-Roman world, particularly of its languages and literature (Ancient Greek and Classical Latin) but also of Greco-Roman philosophy, history, and archaeology.
Depending on the country, undergraduate courses in this field are either three or four years long, with a further one or two years for postgraduation.
