Over the years of human civilization, the people who have made the most revolutionary scientific discoveries include physicists of the stature of Galileo, Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Max Planck etc. Physicists have an important role to play in many aspects of engineeing and technology. Studying physics at the undergraduate level requires an academic background in both physics and mathematics.

At the undergraduate levels, programs available are Bachelor of Science(BSc) which is typically three or four years. Integrated courses with an additional one or two years are also offered by some institutions with the Master of Physics(M.Phys) or Master of Science(MSci) degrees. Separate postgraduate and doctoral degrees may also be taken up by students.
