Minimum Preferably 10th standard pass

Certified training for Safety Testing Technician - RACWO (programme aligned to ELE/Q3606 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

Minimum 1-2 years of experience for 10th standard passed

The tasks a Safety Testing Technician - RACWO is expected to perform include:Checking that the appliance meets prescribed safety standards

Knowledge of safety parameters as per Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) or other standards

Testing safety parameters of the assembled refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine or other home appliance as per BIS or other standards

Well-versed with general principles of wiring and assembly Knowledge of purpose and function of refrigerator, air conditioner and washing machine types and their modules Proficient with types of safety tests and measurements

Knowledge of specifications of various refrigerator, air conditioner and washing machine models of the company Adept in basic mathematics and physics

Proficient in analyzing and evaluating results of the test procedure carried out Knowledge of types of compressors such as reciprocating, rotary, centrifugal, scroll and their function Well-versed with Ohms Law, difference between Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC), series and parallel connections Knowledge of components such as diode, transformer, photo transistor, capacitor, resistor, inductor, thermostat, etc.Knowledge of reading values of components, colour coding, polarity, tolerance Well-versed with frequently occurring safety failures and their causes Knowledge of BIS, Indian Standards Institute (ISI) and other industry standards Adept with specific safety precautions for working on an electronic assembly unit
