The tasks a Radio Technician (Radio Manufacturing) is expected to perform include:

Testing assembled radio sets with testing equipment to ensure that assembly soldering, frequency, performance, etc. are in accordance with prescribed standards

Placing assembled radio set in position and visually examining it to ensure that position ofcomponents, connections, soldering, wiring, etc. are in order

Switching on and operating different knobs to check calibration, audibility and general performance of set by varying its tone and listening to various stations and frequencies

Tightening loose nuts and screws, locating faults, replacing defective components

Approving correctly assembled sets for further processing and rejecting defective ones for rectification

Servicing, repairing and overhauling radio sets whenever required

Competent in using and operating the tools and equipmentneeded to repairelectronic equipment

Well-versed in basic electrical and electronic theory

Proficient in troubleshooting procedures

Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures

Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers

Knowledge of reading and working from plans, schematics and technical manuals

Will be updated

Working hours

Electronic companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is an option. In this case the working hours and days are flexible
