Minimum th Certified training for Plumber (Pumps & E/M Mechanic) (programme aligned to PSC/Q 0 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of minimum educational qualification

The tasks a Plumber (Pumps & E/M Mechanic) is expected to perform include: Installing pumps and E/M equipment

Repairing pumps and E/M equipment

Performing pre-installation activities

Performing post-installation quality checks and tests

Diagnosing the problem/defect in the plumbing systems

Following safety and health regulations

Working knowledge of various tools and equipment used

Basic knowledge of the terminologies used in pump systems and E/M systems

Knowledge of the types of water supply

Detailed knowledge of the installation procedure for pumps and E/M systems

Detailed knowledge of the pre-installation procedures for pumps and E/M systems

Detailed knowledge of the repair and maintenance procedure of pumps and E/M systems

Detailed knowledge of post-installation quality checks and tests performed for pumps and E/M systems

Knowledge of the units of measurements

Knowledge of how to calculate material requirements

In-depth knowledge of how to dismantle and reassemble the pump assembly

Detailed knowledge of how to dismantle the pump and E/M system for overhaul

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedure

Basic knowledge of mathematical calculations

Knowledge of Hindi or any regional language

Previous on-the-job training
