Ball Lapping Worker

Minimum ? 10th standard pass

Minimum experience of 2 to 7 years in relevant field

The tasks a Ball Lapping Machine Operatoris expected to perform include:Lapping steel balls after grinding to accurate and high finish by special grinding wheels and lapping machine mostly for manufacture of ball bearings

Starting pump and conveyor and feeding hard ground balls into intake hopper

Adjusting machine, guiding, stopping and managing other controls to regulate load, wheel pressure, etc. according to machine performance and specifications

Starting machine, setting rotation speed of wheel and regulating flow of coolant & oil into machine

Opening hopper gate and feeding ball into machine

Observing operation and adjusting feed finger and pick-off finger in tool pocket for obtaining required finish

Operating ball grinding machine as and when required

Knowledge of how to operate and manoeuvre lapping and filing equipment

Efficient in planning sequence of operations

Knowledge of metal properties, grinding machines, alloys and thickness

Equipped to inspect final product and take corrective measures

Efficient in maintaining and monitoring all work floor machines
